U.S. Marines and Sailors assigned to the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, collect firehose along a section of fireline designated as cold as part of wildland firefighting operations with National Interagency Fire Center personnel near the Sierra National Forest, Oct. 5th, 2020. Approximately 250 Marines from 7th ESB work with professional firefighters to help fight the Creek Fire in Central California. Through U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the National Interagency Fire Center to respond quickly and effectively to protect people, property, and public lands.
