Shanon Soileau, USACE debris management specialist from New Orleans District, oversees a load of shredded, vegetative debris as a driver departs the Moss Bluff debris management site Sept. 29, 2020. While the Corps of Engineers was not assigned the debris management mission as part of the Hurricane Laura response, we have been tasked with providing technical assistance to FEMA and the state. Activity is underway at the Moss Bluff, La., debris management site, Sept. 29, 2020, following Hurricane Laura. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is supporting the region with technical assistance -- debris subject matter experts and technical monitors are monitoring contractor debris removal across southwest Louisiana.
