Fort Bliss, Texas – Members of the 1st Armored Division Band play “Ruffles and Flourishes” while 17 cannon blasts thunder into the distance during a Change of Command ceremony held on Sept. 30 at Iron Soldier Field. The ceremony honored outgoing 1st Armored Division commanding general, Brig. Gen. Matthew L. Eichburg, and formally welcomed incoming commanding general, Brig. Gen. Sean C. Bernabe. To protect the health and safety of the force and community, attendance was kept to a minimum and those that attended practiced social distancing and donned face coverings, per COVID-19 protocols and regulations.
