Spc. Felipe Sotomayor, a water treatment specialist assigned to the 127th Quartermaster Company out of Fort Bragg, N.C., prepares to move a canvas covering off a water hose prior to filling up a potable water reservoir during a Vibrant Response 13 field training exercise at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind., July 29. During the exercise, Sotomayor, a native of Puerto Rico, was responsible for monitoring the water levels and filling the reservoirs at various training sites. In the event of a man-made or natural disaster in country, the 127th QM Company, and other Joint Task Force Civil Support Units are responsible for supporting local, state and federal civilian authorities.
