The ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19 impacted Soldiers‘ abilities to engage in collective training events like in previous years. Soldiers in the 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), 475th Quartermaster Company overcame those challenges by mitigating COVID-19 related risks to provide a safer training environment for Soldiers during their training event throughout August. Sgt. Chris Hermann, a wheeled vehicle mechanic in the unit, established control measures that included hand washing stations, social distancing, temperature checks, and restricted access to certain areas. Altogether, these measures limited the risk of cross contamination between Soldiers.
