Coast Guard seizes 7 kilograms of cocaine during migrant interdiction south of Mona Island, Puerto Rico [Image 1 of 2]
Seven kilograms of cocaine estimated to have wholesale value of more than $154,000 dollars, where seized by the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Winslow Griesser (WPC-1116) during the interdiction of an illegal migrant voyage south of Mona Island, Puerto Rico Sept. 17, 2020. Following the interdiction, 36 of the 38 migrants were repatriated to a Dominican Republic Navy Sept. 19, 2020. Two other female migrants in the group required medical attention ashore and were medevaced to a local hospital in Puerto Rico. (U.S. Coast Guard photo).
