An adult woman leans down toward a young girl, appearing to sign an autograph or write something on a card or booklet the child is holding. The girl is wearing a red and white striped shirt and holding a small American flag along with what appears to be a book or program. The setting appears to be an indoor venue with orange safety/industrial equipment and a red rope barrier visible in the background.

First lady Michelle Obama greets U.S. military families at RAF Mildenhall here, July 29, 2012. Families assigned to RAF Mildenhall, RAF Lakenheath and the 501st Combat Support Wing were among the families the first lady met with prior to her departure. Obama stopped at the base as part of the Joining Forces initiative. While in the U.K., the first lady met with approximately 1,000 British and American children as part of her Let's Move! campaign and was also the U.S. presidential delegation for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.
