200915-A-FC661-1085 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 15, 2020) - Mark VI patrol craft attached to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 56 maneuver into position to conduct live-fire training in the Arabian Gulf, Sept. 15. CTF 56 is responsible for planning and execution of expeditionary missions, in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations and is deployed in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
