Captain Janshay E. Polk has served in the Army since 2003. She is currently serving as the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division brigade nurse and acting Brigade Surgeon. We celebrated the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote on August 26, 1920. Since the passage of the 19th Amendment, women have made great strides for equality across our society.
