Benjamin Cooper with rifle platoon, ground combat element, Security Cooperation Task Force Africa Partnership Station 2012 (SCTF APS 12), holds a practice pad while learning fighting techniques from French Marines, during a training exercise aboard Fort de Penthievre, Brittany, France, July 22. The Marines and sailors of SCTF APS 12 participated in a series of training events with French Marines in order to strenghten relations between the two countries' militaries.
