The Coast Guard Cutter Waesche (WMSL 751) transits the San Francisco Bay blanketed in fog and smoke from numerous wildfires burning across the San Francisco Bay Area, Aug. 22, 2020. Waesche’s crew departed their homeport of Alameda, Calif., for a Western Pacific patrol, making Waesche the third Coast Guard cutter to deploy to the Western Pacific in the past two years in support of the U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet.
