Secretary of Defense Dr. Mark T. Esper met with U.S. Army Pacific Commanding General Gen. Paul J. LaCamera Sept. 2, 2020, on Fort Shafter, Hawaii, after attending commemorative events that marked the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. In the USARPAC guest book at historic Richardson Hall, Esper left the following inspirational message for the men and women of the One Team ohana: “Thanks for USARPAC’s presence and leadership in the Indo-Pacific region. A robust Army capability is critical to deterring war in this theater, and then fighting and winning if necessary. Keep up the great work.”
