Members of the Canadian Air Defence Sector at 22 Wing North Bay, Ontario, took part in a North American Aerospace Defense Command air defence exercise Aug.17-21 over the Beaufort Sea and Thule Air Base, Greenland. Members of CADS used a multitude of sensors to provide tactical command and control of both U.S. and Canadian NORAD assets defending Canadian airspace. Working with NAV Canada and Canadian NORAD Region Headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CADS conducts a 24 /7 mission to monitor all aircraft entering Canadian air space.
