U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Johnny Rodriguez, ammunition technician, Las Pulgas Ammunition Supply Point, 1st Supply Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, receives an award from Brig. Gen. Bobbi Shea, commanding general of 1st MLG, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 27, 2020. Rodriguez was presented the 2019 Ammunition Technician of the year award for innovations related to his job field and his accomplishments September through December 2019, at Expeditionary Systems Evaluation Division, Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook. Rodriguez’s work in the additive manufacturing cell of ESED began with modifications to the 3D printing designs for an inert flashbang grenade that has since been used by U.S. Marine Forces Special Operations Command.
