This week, Cacti’s Scouts Platoon honored them with a word from 1SG Marques, a former Scout who once served with the now fallen soldiers. Additionally, todays Scouts performed a memorial physical training exercise to honor all 14 Heroes.

While wearing plates and in team-sized elements, they performed TWO sets of the following exercises:

    1.4-mile run (Individually)
    14 burpees (Individually)
    14 pull-ups (Individually)
    140 push-ups (Collectively)
    14 tire flips (Individually)

In between each station, the teams would also perform lunges, frog-leaps, or a weighted/ dumbbell carry.

The Scouts worked tirelessly and showed gratitude to 1SG Marques for recounting the history of the former Scouts and how they developed him into the soldier that he is now, today.

Cacti honors our unit’s legacy, history, and heritage in order for our Soldiers to continue to honor and understand the values, traditions, and accomplishments of those who have served in the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment before us.
