Oregon Army National Guard 1st Lt. Evan Simms, 224th Engineer Company trains his Soldiers how to install light fixtures during a building renovation project at Camp Umatilla near Hermiston, Ore, August 6th, 2020. Simms is a certified electrician; his experience allows him to instruct his Soldiers in important skills and techniques in the field. Simms stated “there are not a lot of electrical projects we get to work on, this is very unique training,” explaining some of his soldiers have not had the opportunity to run wiring in the last three years.
