Chief of Space Operations Gen. Jay W. Raymond presents a Certificate of Appreciation to Air Force Gen. Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, outgoing commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, during a change of command ceremony at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., Aug. 20, 2020. O’Shaughnessy retired after 34 years of service. A 1986 U.S. Air Force Academy distinguished graduate, O’Shaughnessy served as commander at various levels of command throughout his career, including NORAD and USNORTHCOM, Pacific Air Forces, Air Component Command-Republic of Korea, and 7th Air Force, Osan Air Base, Korea.
