Lt. Cosby “Gator” Washington, a Helicopter Air Operations Officer from Washington, D.C., is assigned to Commander, Submarine Group (CSG) 2 in Norfolk, Va. Washington always wanted to be a pilot and made his dream come true when he joined the Navy nearly six years ago. “What I love about working with Submarine Group 2 is the opportunity to learn from an operational standpoint,” Washington said. “For much of my naval career I’ve been focused in tactics.
