Artifacts from the Women in the Air Force (WAF) gallery are displayed for visitors to view in the USAF Airman Heritage Training Complex, Aug. 10, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The WAF gallery consists of mannequins dressed in various WAF uniforms from the 40s through the 80s, photos and artifacts. One of the objects in the gallery is the pen used by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1967 to sign legislation eliminating the 2 percent limit on female promotes. The museum's primary mission is to educate our Airmen on the history of the Air Force with particular emphasis on JBSA-Lackland. The secondary purpose is to educate, train, inspire and serve as a recruiting tool for the numerous civilian visitors of the facility. (U.S. Air Force photo by Sarayuth Pinthong)
