Valeriy Didychenko, an explosive ordnance disposal technician with the 217th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, California Army National Guard, assists Sgt. Lloyd Vanwinkle, an infantry soldier attached to the unit and awaiting EOD School. The soldiers in the company are trained to look for certain features to determine what the objects are and how to defeat them.
