Final flight of UH-1N for CBPs Air and Marine Operations

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's final UH-1N 'Huey' helicopter taxis by its replacement, the UH-60 Black Hawk, as it begins its final operational mission with Air and Marine Operations, El Paso Air Branch, July 29, 2020, marking the end of the helicopters' illustrious career supporting CBP law-enforcement operations across the nation. The aircraft shown, N7247N, was previously operated by the U.S. Marine Corps as Bureau # 160836. AMOs El Paso Air Branch is located at the El Paso International Airport and supports a vast territory covering New Mexico, West Texas and Oklahoma. The aircraft and crew received an honorary water-cannon salute and the crew was met by gathered family, friends and co-workers who celebrated the occasion. The UH-1N helicopters will be sold on the commercial market with the money returned to support other aircraft maintenance and sustainment programs.
