Airman 1st Class Cassie Crisp, a conventional maintenance crew chief assigned to the 437th Maintenance Squadron, replaces flares in a flare set, July 20, 2020, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The flares are used on aircraft in order to attempt to divert attention when the aircraft is believed to be in danger.
