JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (July 29, 2020) – Lt.j.g. Evan Skarbek directs traffic near Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s “swab tent” during the COVID-19 pandemic. Skarbek, a native of Standish, Michigan, holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from University of Michigan. “I joined the Navy to serve our country. I appreciate the opportunity to support processes that ultimately impact people and their experience. It feels good to see the impact we make on our sailors as well as the community. I’m honored to be a part of the best team out there. Go Navy!” Medical Service Corps officers have continuously served sailors and Marines, in times of war and peace, since Aug. 4, 1947.
