Hawashem, a native of Midland, Texas, holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in supply chain management from the Naval Postgraduate School. “I joined the Navy Medicine team almost 18 years ago; I have always had an interest in medicine. Medical logistics is a crucial step in patient care. We work hand-in-hand with providers to ensure they have the best medical supplies for patient care. Medical logistics encompasses purchasing, medical equipment repair, and health service contracts which directly affect patient care.” On Aug. 4, the Navy Medical Service Corps celebrates 73 years of exceptional service.
