Kristopher Reyes, a fire team leader with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (3rd MLG), wraps detonating cord around a Bangalore torpedo at Demo Range 2, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, July 8, 2020. Detonation cord helps ensure the explosion of the ordnance after the fuse timer burns through, igniting the blasting cap. Reyes, a native of Springfield, Missouri, graduated from Willard High School in 2018 and enlisted out of Recruiting Station Springfield in 2018. 3rd MLG provides III Marine Expeditionary Force comprehensive logistics and combat service support for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
