EAST CHINA SEA (July 16, 2020) – Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class Pgkeith Cafino conducts a maintenance spot-check with the ship’s Executive Officer, Lt. Cmdr. Zach Martens aboard mine countermeasures ship USS Pioneer (MCM 9). Pioneer, part of Mine Countermeasures Squadron 7, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response platform for contingency operations.
