200609-N-N1809-003 Chula Vista, California (June 9, 2020) James Pele, Olympian High School’s information technology technician, prepares laptops for distribution to CyberCamp participants. This year’s CyberCamps went virtual — minus permission slip drop-offs and equipment pick-ups — due to San Diego’s stay at home orders in response to COVID-19. Each student, teacher, and Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) volunteer worked through the five-day camp together remotely June 15 – 19. In partnership with Sweetwater Union High School District, NIWC Pacific volunteers have supported the camp for four years by training teachers, creating instructive materials, and pairing mentors with students.
