200626-N-QV265-1023 YOKOSUKA, Japan (June 26, 2020) - U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) Retail Service Specialist Seaman Justin Thomas, from Raeford, North Carolina, monitors Blue Ridge crew member body temperatures while administering mandatory COVID-19 screenings. Every person arriving at the Blue Ridge entry control point must be screened before embarking the ship in order to minimize the risks of outbreaks aboard the ship. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
