U.S. Army Alaska hosted its first Juneteenth Observance June 19th n the Wilderness Inn Dining Facility at Joint Base Elemendorf-Richardson. . Cal Williams, an Alaskan resident and community activist, gave remarks about the significance and history of Juneteenth. Those in attendance ate a soul food lunch and listed to music selections from the 9th Army Band.
