FORT BENNING, Ga. – At Fort Benning's Paul R. Smith Fitness Center June 16, a sign reminds patrons of some of some of the things to do to guard against the COVID-19 pandemic. The center had been closed because of the pandemic but reopened the day before. Officials here have given the okay for a round of reopenings to begin this week – with precautions in place against the pandemic – to include not only fitness centers but swimming pools, bowling centers and various other services.
