Musicians assigned to the 1st Armored Division Band play the Iron Soldier March during the ceremonial cake cutting celebrating the Army’s upcoming birthday, June 11. The Army is celebrating its 245th birthday on June 14 and was originally founded in 1775 by the Continental Congress. As the Army and 1AD continue to look forward and face new challenges, the celebration is a reminder of the triumphs of the Army’s past and the promise that the future brings. (U.S. Army photo by Pfc.
