Lance Cpl. Jess Lucas, a combat engineer with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, demolishes a wall during a demolition exercise at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 27, 2020. The training was conducted to teach the Marines all foundations of their job. Combat engineers will use these demolition skills to clear deteriorating structures and replace them with newly constructed ones. The task force is set to work on engineering projects while conducting crisis response efforts in Latin America and the Caribbean. Lucas is a native of Forest Grove, Oregon.
