Terrence O’Shaughnessy, commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command land on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in the Atlantic Ocean May 29, 2020. Gen. O’Shaughnessy was aboard the carrier as the operational commander to witness first-hand homeland defense operations. U.S. Northern Command's top priority is homeland defense, and leading complex multi-combatant command operations across multiple domains demonstrates U.S. Northern Command's readiness to defend the homeland regardless of COVID-19.
