    U.S. Soldiers with the Missouri Army National Guard assist Harvesters Community Food Network in distributing food to civilians in front of the Truman Sports Complex in Kansas City, Missouri, May 11, 2020. Soldiers assigned to the 1241st, 1251st, and 548th Transportation Company’s, partnered with KCMO Police Department and Jackson County Sports Complex Authority to distribute food to approximately 3,000 households. Missouri Guardsmen are assisting local organizations within the community as part of a state-wide effort to distribute food to those in need, during the COVID-19 response effort. Harvesters serves a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. They provide food and related household products to more than 760 not-for-profit agencies including emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others.
