U.S. Army Paratroopers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, conduct CBRN familiarization training with a M4 carbine using an Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) under Covid-19 prevention conditions at Caserma Del Din in Vicenza, Italy, May 15, 2020.
The EST provides Soldiers with the opportunity to increase their marksmanship proficiency on a wide array of dismounted and crew served weapons systems with virtual fire scenarios and pop-up targets. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States Europe, Africa and Central Command areas of responsibility.
