    200511-N-FA444-1037 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 11, 2020) - Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd Class Shanice Jones, from Columbia, South Carolina, cuts a piece of metal bracket in the hull technician shop of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Hull Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the ship's infrastructure and are tasked with various welding and maintenance jobs. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
