U.S. Marine Corps Reserve 1st Sgt. Craig Wilcox,(left) and Idaho Air National Guard Master Sgt. Cora Gempler place a memorial brick in a new setting on Gowen Field’s Memorial Park. The Memorial Park Volunteers, a group of multi-service members on Gowen Field, took part in clean up, memorial brick replacements and brick additions on Gowen Field's Memorial Park. Service members from the Idaho Army National Guard, Idaho Air National Guard and the U.S.Marine Corps Reserve unit on Gowen Field met on Tuesday morning to shuffle memorial bricks as they added new bricks to the park in preparation for Gowen's yearly Memorial Day remembrance. Gowen Field Memorial Park honors Idaho’s veterans from past and current military conflicts as well as those service members that trained here in Idaho. Gowen Field is home to the Idaho Army and Air National Guard, as well as the U.S. Marine Corps and Naval Reserves.
