    200509-N-OW019-0062 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 9, 2020) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Erik McCoy, from Granite City, Ill., fires an M2 .50 cal. machine gun during a live-fire exercise aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) during a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of the carrier strike group, while testing a strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
