NAPLES, Italy (April 29, 2020) Capt. Jeffrey J. Kilian, commanding officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Europe Africa Central (EURAFCENT), awards Lt. Daniel W. Syzdek, assistant public works officer at the U.S. Naval Support Activity, Naples Italy, a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his design of the $40 Million repair of the C4I critical systems, for coordinating tenant input and construction impact mitigation, boosting resiliency for phase three war communications across three Combatant Commands. NAVFAC EURAFCENT executed more than $1 Billion in fiscal year 2019 in construction, professional engineering and facilities services for the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force and NATO forces.
