U.S. Marines with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Task Force New York watch the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, and U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, fly over the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) in of honor frontline COVID-19 responders and essential workers in New York, April 28, 2020. While in New York City, Comfort provided care for critical and non-critical patients without regard to their COVID-19 status. Comfort’s operations in New York City were conducted in support of U.S. Northern Command’s Defense Support of Civil Authorities as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
