(April 23, 2020) Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Lauren Zaluski, a native of Columbus, Ohio, regreases part of a gasket underneath a lower stage weapons elevator while performing preventative maintenance aboard Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson has 10 weapons elevators used to transport ordnance, equipment, and other supplies when necessary. Vinson is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance in Bremerton, Wash.
