Humvees are staged on the flightline as they await loading onto a C-17 Globemaster III assigned to the 204th Airlift Squadron, Apr. 23, 2020 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The vehicles were to be airlifted to Hawaii National Guard Soldiers and Airmen on Kauai, who have been activated to support the COVID-19 response. With Hawaii being an island state, airlift plays a vital role in posturing Hawaii Guardsmen throughout the Hawaiian archipelago for COVID-19 response.
