Cmdr. Adrian Gaskin, officer-in-charge at Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay, reviews a specimen in the clinic’s laboratory. Gaskin, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In honor of National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (April 19 – 25), Gaskin observes, “Laboratory personnel are working diligently behind the scenes of the COVID-19 pandemic, fighting the good fight so that providers can diagnose and treat patients.” As clinic OIC, she states, “It’s our honor to provide an array of readiness and health services to the warfighters aboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, their family members, as well as retirees and retiree family members. We're happy to support the NSB Kings Bay and Commander Submarine Group 10 missions to ensure the sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen are medically ready to defend our great nation."
