Barrigada, Guam (April 15, 2020) U.S. Army Lt. Col. Roger Garcia, the 18th Medical Command (MEDCOM) (Deployment Support (DS)) Civil Affairs Officer, met with members of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT) at a FEMA warehouse to discuss possible strategies to support the fight against COVID-19. 18th MEDCOM (DS) was mobilized in support of the Theater Joint Force Land Component Command (TJFLCC), Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) and Foreign Humanitarian Assistance (FHA) missions for the response to COVID-19 in Guam and the region.
