    U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jared Swiggard, a rifleman with 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, uses the Handheld Interagency Identification Detection Equipment System to record the biometric data of an Afghan national for a census in Helmand province, Afghanistan June 22, 2012.
