Betsy Miles, the wife of Maj. Gen. Lloyd Miles, deputy commanding general, I Corps, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., embraces Lt. Gen. Curtis M. Scaparrotti, commanding general of I Corps, as he awards her for serving alongside her husband during his retirement ceremony at Watkins Field on JBLM, June 22. During his speech, Miles addressed not only the Army family he served with for more than 32 years, but also made special tributes to his family who has also served beside him.
