A soldier in US Army MultiCam/OCP camouflage uniform wearing an orange high-visibility safety vest stands on a gravel surface at what appears to be a forward operating base. He is holding a Trimble surveying rod/pole and a GPS prism or instrument component, suggesting he is engaged in geospatial or engineering survey work. An ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) patch is visible on his left shoulder, indicating deployment in Afghanistan.
