    Defense Department Support to FEMA COVID-19       

    Army Pvt. Melody Faulk, a combat medic for the intermediate care ward and native of Tucson, Ariz., assigned to the 627th Hospital Center, puts laundry into plastic bags so it can be picked up and cleaned by contractors at the CenturyLink Field Event Center in downtown Seattle, Wash., April 3. Approximately 500 Soldiers from Fort Carson, Colo., and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. are setting up and running an Army field hospital at the center in support of the Department of Defense COVID-19 response. U.S Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, is providing military support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help communities in need.
