PHILIPPINE SEA (April 1, 2020) Cpl. Michael Cenci, a force reconnaissance Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) Maritime Raid Force, is awarded a certificate of commendation for being the gung-ho Marine during a recent Corporals Course aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The certificates of commendation were awarded to Marines who displayed high standards in themselves and those around them during a Corporals Course Professional Military Education completed on ship. America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
