The image shows multiple AMR (American Medical Response) ambulances at what appears to be a hospital loading dock or emergency bay. Medical personnel wearing full PPE including gowns, masks, gloves, and shoe covers are attending to a patient being unloaded from the rear of an ambulance. The scene suggests a high-volume medical response situation, consistent with a pandemic or mass casualty environment.

Medical personnel assigned to the Javits New York Medical Station (JNYMS) receive and screen a patient just outside the facility’s entry bay. Soldiers, along with Department of Health and Human Services personnel and other federal, state and local agencies began operating a federal medical station out of the JNYMS, March 30, to care for non-COVID-19 patients in an effort to relieve the burden on local hospitals, allowing them to focus on coronavirus patients. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, is providing military support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help communities in need.
